The United State National 18u team is the pinnacle achievement for any hockey player. These are the with out exception the best 18 and under USA hockey players, period. These are future NHLers, NCAA and Major Jr stars. The Team competes in the primeir jr leage in the United States, the USHL. The USHL is composed of 15 other teams whos compositions range but are limited to, no more than 3 players in their final season of jr eligibility. That being 93's this year, 5 94's and no more than 4 players from other nationalities. Team USA players general matriculate out right to NCAA or another season of JR hockey. This year USA is in second place in their USHL division, where they share the USHL schedule with USA 17u. The 18's also play numerous international contest and NCAA teams where the teams are composed of player whos average freshman is 21 years old... This year USA lost to Northern Mi 3-1, beat Lake State 3-2, lost to Colorado College 8-4, Lost to North Dakota 4-1, Beat NCAA d3 nazerth 4-0, beat U of M 5-4, and just lost to UTICA College 4-1. Utica College is Ranked 12th in the NCAA Dec 9th poll, and is reported in being the future NCAA d3 hockey home of some NW Ohio natives, and when those formal press releases are issued I will repost them here.
